MALIBU, CA — Malibu will have critical fire weather conditions from Friday at 6 a.m. to Saturday at 8 p.m., according to the National Weather Service of Los Angeles and Oxnard.

The high risk of rapid fire growth is caused by low humidity and gusty winds. The City of Malibu also issued an alert Monday warning of high fire risk weather through Saturday.

Malibu residents should prepare for potential fires, evacuations and power outages. Traffic obstructions may also occur due to downed trees and power lines or traffic signal outages, according to the city.
