Malibu's Annual Community Fire Season Briefing Set For Sept. 5

It's part of a series of webinars hosted by Malibu as part of National Preparedness Month in September.

MALIBU, CA — As part of a slate of National Preparedness Month events, Malibu will host its annual community fire-season briefing on Sept. 5.

The briefing is set for 6 p.m. on Sept. 5 via Zoom. Los Angeles County Fire Department Assistant Chief Drew Smith will deliver a presentation on local live fuel moisture, expected weather patterns and what that means for fire conditions in Malibu.

Additionally, the city will host other webinars with a range of experts related to disaster preparedness throughout the month. They include:
