Transient Charged With Murder Of Man Found In Malibu Park

MALIBU, CA – Sheriff's officials announced Tuesday that a man has been arrested in a case of a decomposed body found in a Malibu Park. Eduardo Ray Nunez, a 39-year-old homeless man, has been arrested by investigators and charged with murder, the sheriff's statement said.

The partially decomposed body was found in late January by a hiker in Malibu Bluff Park located at the 24200 block of Pacific Coast Highway, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

The suspect is being held at the Malibu/Lost Hills Station Jail with a $2 million bail, the statement continued. Officials weren't able to provide identification for the victim, and there's no information regarding cause of death. Earlier reports said the victim was a male, Malibu Times reported.
