Mariah Carey Shrugs Off New Year’s Eve Performance Difficulties

A satirical look at current events!

Mariah Carey Shrugs Off New Year's Eve Performance Difficulties: Pop diva Mariah Carey took to Twitter to explain that “s**t happens” after she stopped singing midway through a song because of technical difficulties experienced during her New Year’s Eve performance in Times Square.

Yea, s**t does happen - and sometimes…it doesn’t happen - due to technical difficulties. My question is, how is it possible to screw up lip syncing? Seems like they would have been a lot better off just hiring a mime. Now I’m no music critic, but one almost gets the impression that if some of these singers actually sang instead of just pretending to sing, this sort of thing wouldn’t happen in the first place, but what do I know?

On the other hand, I can’t help but think that this would have been the perfect performance for the Trump inauguration. Now watch for him to threaten to build a wall around Mariah Carey concerts. And, as one might expect, ISIS has just claimed responsibility for Mariah Carey’s New Year’s Eve performance. Anyway, regardless of what actually happened that fateful night, one way or another, we Americans are gonna be able to make it through this.
