Meet an “Amazing” With a Dedicated Passion for Running and Spirit
Orville Rogers, 99, began running competitively at 90 and has been running ever since.

Orville Rogers, age 99, took up running at 50, began running competitively at 90, and has never stopped since. He figures he’s logged over 42,000 miles and loves it as much as the day he started.
His first love was flying: he was an instructor pilot throughout WWII, then flew for Braniff Airways for 31 years. After that he flew a Cessna in service of a Baptist mission for over a year. Orville recently published “Running Man: Flying High for the Glory of God” – a title which says it all!
