Dr. David Goodall, 103, is the oldest active research scientist in Australia.

DR. David Goodall, age 103, is the oldest active research scientist in Australia. A botanist and ecologist, Dr. Goodall was influential in the early development of numerical methods in ecology, particularly as regards the
study of vegetation. He published his own research as recently as 2014.
Currently, he’s an honorary research associate at the Centre for Ecosystem Management at Edith Cowan University, and Editor-in-Chief of the “Ecosystems of the World” series. But there’s more. Dr. Goodall
performs poetry every week with a reading group of ten friends: "I'm the oldest, we call ourselves ‘Well Versed.’ We read and perform poetry of all sorts at different locations around Perth.” Well-versed in more ways than one!
