Meet an “Amazing” who competes for the fun of it
Don Pellmann, now 101, at the age of 100 was the oldest man to compete the San Diego Senior Olympics.

Don Pellmann, now age 101, at the age of 100 was the oldest man to compete the San Diego
Senior Olympics. He set five world records in track and field, in the high jump, long jump, shot put, discus and 100-meter dash.
He is the first centenarian to clear an official height in the high jump. Over the past 30 years, Don has competed in 127 meets, which add up to a total of almost 900 events, in which he’s garnered 885 gold
medals and five silver medals. Of his truly astonishing accomplishments, Don simply says, “It’s been fun.” Now there’s a winner’s attitude!
