Jim Leibrecht, age 71, just produced and directed his 150th theatrical performance at Bishop DuBourg High School in St. Louis. He has a gift for imparting to his student-actors the self-esteem and confidence that inspires them to do more and better than they ever thought possible.
In his 45 years developing the school’s theatre program, Jim’s fostered many a talent including Tony Award winner Norbert Leo Butz (Best Lead Actor: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels & Catch Me If You Can). With that, though, he’s humble, asserting that students teach him as much as he teaches them. A
faith-filled man, Jim believes that we should use the gifts God gives us. Which he most certainly does!
