Meet an “Amazing” Who Put Smiles on Struggling Students’ Faces

Bob Wilson, 90, handed out $1000 to each of the 982 Paradise High School students and school staff who lost their school to the Camp Fire.

Bob Wilson, 90, instead of simply enjoying the fruits of his successful career as a real estate developer, spent a couple of days writing checks, individual notes, and stuffing envelopes, in order to personally hand out $1000 to each of the 982 Paradise High School students and their 105 teachers, custodians, and bus drivers who had lost their school to the Camp Fire in Northern California.

Bob was so moved by the complete destruction of Paradise, and troubled by the thought of all these young people having to go through such trauma, that he knew he had to do something to hopefully put a smile on their faces, and lift their spirits. Thus, the checks! And yes, people of Paradise were deeply touched, not just by the gift of greatly appreciated cash, but also by the generosity of essentially, a perfect stranger. A true “AMAZING” indeed.
