Meet an “Amazing" Who’s Celebrating Her 103rd Birthday With Dance
Ellen has been choreographing and dancing since she was 24.

Eileen Kramer, 103, thinks it’s nothing special for her to be choreographing “A Buddha’s Wife” and performing it at her age. After all, she’s been choreographing and dancing since she was twenty-four, once she completed her dance studies.
Eileen became a member of the Bodenwieser Ballet, the first modern dance company in Australia, in the 1940s. She doesn’t think of herself as “old” but rather as simply living a long time. Eileen is convinced that creativity is what keeps her young, whether it’s choreographing, designing costumes or performing. Australia's Minister for Aged Care, Ken Wyatt, certainly agrees. They recently met to discuss Eileen's role with the Arts Health Institute, a national social enterprise and charity that supports Australian elders and their families achieve a meaningful, socially connected, creative and dignified life.
