Meet an “Amazing” Who’s a Happy Non-stop Parachutist

Pat Mooerhead made 80 skydives in one day on his 80th birthday--a new world record for his age group.

Pat Moorehead, age 82, founded the Skydivers Over Sixty (SOS) parachuting club after his retirement from the Fire Service. He has been going gung-ho in the skies ever since. Pat even celebrated his 80th birthday in the sky. He made 80 skydives in one day at Skydive Elsinore in Lake Elsinore, California, while raising funds for the National Skydiving Museum. It was a new world record for his age category, according to the World Record Academy.

Pat’s life philosophy is infectious: keep dreaming, keep on trying, never give up on your dreams no matter what. Age simply isn’t even part of the equation. Soar on!
