A retired office worker, Gordon has played tennis since he was 13.

Gordon Burdfield, at 93 is the world’s oldest tennis player. Let’s rephrase that – he’s the world’s oldest tennis player still actively playing tennis three days a week and who even competed at Wimbledon at age 81 in the 80s and over category! Just in case that wasn’t quite enough exercise, Gordon works out in aerobic classes and takes long walks in the park. He is living proof of his belief in the importance of physical activity to enjoy a happy healthy life as long as possible.

A retired office worker, Gordon has played tennis since he was 13, coming back to the game after his time in the Navy (he enlisted at 17) during WWII, to play in many tournaments. Gordon is the proud father of four children, grandfather of twelve, and great-grandfather to six!
