Meet an “Amazing” Who is a Tap Legend
Arthur's talent has shone in any number of live and filmed productions.

Arthur Duncan, 85, has been tap-tap-tapping his way through life since he joined a dance quartet at age 13. He was the first African-American to appear on the Lawrence Welk television show. His performance was so terrific, that he was asked to become a regular. Since then, Arthur’s talent has shone in any number of live and filmed productions, most recently, in the 2016 series premiere of “Little Big Shots” and in 2018, as a guest on “The Talk.” Among his many awards, Arthur was honored at the 15th Annual St. Louis Tap Festival for his lifetime contribution to the art of tap dance.
