Meet an “Amazing” Whose Passion for Cooking Makes Her Happy

Hu Limei, age 76, although retired, prepared dinner for 50 people three nights in a row this year, as a guest chef for the "China Master Chef Banquet" at the Hilton Beijing Wangfujing, China. Hu -- one of the first professional female chefs in modern-day China -- was the executive chef at the famous Park Hotel in Shanghai in the 1980s, where she served many important people, including former Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping and Jiang Zemin.

Hu’s specialty is imperial-style Beijing cuisine, although she is passionate about cooking in general, and loves to see people finish everything on their plate! Hu says that cooking makes her happy – and that nothing is more important than being happy! Agreed.
