Irma Schluter, who turns 93 in November, and her husband Harvey, age 104, were more than a bit surprised to hear of two hurricanes, right in a row, named"Harvey" and "Irma" Over their 75 year marriage, the couple have brought the opposite of devastation into the lives of many. In addition to raising their own 2 children, Irma and Harvey have taken into their home over 120 abandoned children, many of whom were physically or developmentally disabled, and fostered them into adulthood. This in addition to "Harvey's Shop," where Harvey displayed his barbering expertise, and the Schluter's dedication to their church, where they taught Sunday school for many years.
