Going Through The Motions: Malibu Will Hold A Mock Evacuation On Zoom Tonight
Residents of Malibu practiced getting out for a wildfire Wednesday evening on Zoom.

MAIBU, CA — Are you ready for a wildfire?
Malibu locals and emergency response agencies participated in a mock evacuation Wednesday at 6 p.m. on Zoom to make sure the city is ready for a wildfire.
Fire has been on locals' minds as much of Los Angeles has faced high fire risk weather conditions in recent weeks. Alisal Fire has burned in Santa Barbara for days, and as of Monday the fire was 80 percent contained.

Wednesday's drill walked through the steps in the city's evacuation plan. The Los Angeles County fire department, sheriff's department and animal control participated in the drill as well.
