Mountain Lion Spotted On Pepperdine Campus
A young mountain lion approached a resident and his dog, according to the University.

MALIBU, CA – Additional mountain lion sightings have continued on the Pepperdine University campus, including a resident and his dog approached by a young lion, according to a press release from the school. The National Parks Service has trapped a young lion, weighing about 50 pounds, on the Malibu campus, confirming that the lion wasn't in distress; they collared the animal for tracking.
The National Parks Services told Pepperdine officials that often, after a lion has been trapped, they leave that area – this is likely the case, the school release said. It's possible that a second young lion has also been seen on campus. National Parks Service representatives have assured University officials that they don't see an elevated risk in the lion behavior experienced.
Public Relations office issued another email with new confirmed mountain lion sightings. One incident reported that the mountain lion approached a Dresecher Resident and their dog. Be sure to check emails for updated information. pic.twitter.com/BTuiYtj22T
