Mudslide Blocks Part of Kanan Dume Road in Malibu for a Time
Traffic alternated through the area on the northbound lanes, and the area was cleared about six hours after the mudslide was reported.
MALIBU, CA — A mudslide blocked part of Kanan Dume Road in Malibu on Tuesday, but traffic was able to get through the area while crews worked to clear the scene.
The slide was reported about 2 a.m. about a mile north of Pacific Coast Highway, and blocked both southbound lanes, according to the sheriff's department.
Traffic alternated through the area on the northbound lanes, and the area was cleared by about 7:45 a.m., according to the city of Malibu.
