In the name of God?

ISLAM has been lobbying the United Nations for years to pass “blasphemy” laws that would make criticism of Islam a punishable offense.

The OIC stands for Organization of the Islamic Conference. The OIC is the second largest international organization in the world, behind only the UN and it is the largest Islamic organization in the world, claiming to represent 1.5 billion Muslims around the globe. It’s comprised of 56 UN Member States plus the Palestinian Authority, and they tend to vote together as a block. Essentially, it is the largest voting block in the UN.

Currently, OIC’s goal is the international criminalization of all speech that is critical of Islam-related topics including Islam, Muslims, Sharia law, Islamic terrorism, and Islamic persecution of religious minorities. It has not pushed for criminalization directly, knowing it would not be accepted in the West. Instead, it introduces UN resolutions and targets EU parliaments, presenting the language in a watered down form, in order to achieve its goals gradually and incrementally.

UNBELIEVABLE!!! And we, as Americans, are indifferent as to whether our country becomes more influenced by Islam? This is easily one of the most intolerant and dictatorial and oppressive groups in the world today (and it has been since the 6th century) and I would suggest, the most insidious and dangerous. Islam is an affront to our Bill of Rights, to the heart of who we are as a Nation. It is an affront to a civilized society.

Our own government, supposedly the world’s largest defender of human rights and free speech, is terrified of being accused of showing disrespect towards Islam. Our media is similarly terrified of offending Islam...they are in fear of retribution. They will suspend their own free speech rights in order to avoid being targeted...We are abandoning our American principles in deference to an oppressive organization that punishes free speech and doesn’t honor human rights....any human rights! Islam is a straight man’s religion….it is a ”Boy’s club” where respect for women’s rights and their autonomy are non existent.…but not even (their) men and boy’s are allowed to exercise their free will….they must obey the rule of Sharia Law. They must never disavow their allegiance to Islam. And, if you are gay, you had better guard that secret with your life in parts of the world that are ruled by Islam . There is no mercy for homosexuals in Islam.

In support of free speech, free expression, women’s rights, gay rights, human rights, tolerance...I strongly oppose Islam!, not muslims, but Islam, the ideology. Bad ideology, unlike people, is not redeemable.

P.S. could you imagine if Broadway producers decided to do a Broadway show spoofing “The Book of the Koran” instead of “The Book of Mormon”? There would be an amazing amount of intimidation, threats, and almost certainly widespread bloodshed….just for exercising free speech. The show would be shut down due to reactive violence. To the credit of The Church of Latter Day Saints, there were no backlashes, no retribution….not even a protest. When the show was premiered in Salt Lake City, of all places, there were NO protests, and no mass exits. This is an amazing display of American values and principles by Mormons across the board. How refreshing.

And, don’t forget that in season 14 of “South Park” in 2010, an episode was written that depicted Muhammad. The network, Comedy Central, decided to censor that episode. The Muhammad character’s face was covered by a black box and the mention of his name was bleeped. The Muhammad was depicted as a bear. This is a show and a network that makes a living out of offending everyone. It offends gays, Christians, Jews, blacks, etc., and it takes no prisoners, yet, Islam has apparently been very effective at intimidating even those who would seem the most un-“intimidatable”. They were able to quiet the dissenters; they were able to silence discussion. What could be more totalitarian and Un-American and gothically reflective of the Dark Ages then what has been, and continues to be, dictated by Islamic doctrine?

Yet, when Comedy Central was set to air the show there was a “fatwa” (death threat) issued at the show’s creators and against the network. The threat came in saying that the show’s creators “will probably wind up like Theo van Gogh”. Theo Van Gogh is the heroic Dutch filmmaker who had the audacity back in 2004 to make a documentary on the abuse of women in muslim countries. The film was written by a woman, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, who was born into muslim culture but became a member of the Dutch House of Representatives. Van Gogh ended up dead with his throat cut and a knife in his chest. Ali lives in hiding and with constant death threats to this day. Theo Van Gogh died for standing up for oppressed women. We should be celebrating the courage of this man in our schools…we should be wearing black armbands for a man who not only demonstrated the thoughtfulness and empathy to make a film in support of subjugated and abused women…but for a man who had the courage to risk his life (he gave his life) in order to try and make a significant social change….

That is what is called a martyr. We should have more men and women like him. If we don’t, we just might see the end of a free society.
