Nautica Malibu Triathlon Success: $1.4 Million Raised
Over 5,000 athletes swam a half mile, ran four miles and biked 17.5 miles from Zuma Beach.

MALIBU, CA – The 31st annual Nautica Malibu Triathlon Sunday saw more than 5,000 athletes raise more than $1.4 million. The competitors competed under cloudy and cool skies swimming a half mile, running four miles and biking 17-1/2 miles from Zuma Beach. Alexander Romanenko, the overall winner of the triathlon, finished the half-mile swim, 17-mile bike ride and four mile run in one hour, 12 minutes and 14 seconds, according to Traithlon organizers.
Sophie Chase won the female division with a time of 1:20:20.
The celebrity division was won by actress Heather Tom, at 1:36:35. That was faster than the fastest male, Conrad Ricamore, who came in first at 1:42:08.

The winning co-ed celebrity relay team was Team For The Kids, at 1:23:51. Organizers said other stars who competed in the celebrity division included Zac Efron, James Marsden, Luke Hemsworth, Karla Souza, Jack Falahee, Beverly Mitchell and others.
