NEPTUNE'S NET IS A "NO COP" ZONE

Has anyone noticed, as I have, that strange things happen at County Line, at and around Neptune’s Net?

I am up there on a regular basis…I spend a couple hours at a time on average…and, I have always noticed speeding cars at County Line..almost like it is a drag strip…motorcycles doing wheelies…with incredibly loud exhausts. It is like a carnival atmosphere up there on the weekends. It seems like the place to get together if you want to showboat your car or your motorcycle. Yet, I almost NEVER see police cars at County…it is a glaring omission….

The question is: why is that? It is incredibly dangerous with all of the surfers, and beachgoers, and restaurant goers (and a fairly blind corner coming from the north)….it is an accident waiting to happen. And, any police car parked at County Line could easily write countless tickets….. And, a couple of weeks of having cop cars frequenting that area would bring about a virtual end to speeding on that stretch….so great would be the risk of getting a ticket…..

I have never seen a cop pull over any car or motorcycle…it is almost like it is a “no fly” zone for cops….

Yet, if you drive a mile or more down towards Malibu you will see cop cars…and people getting tickets…and that is a stretch of road where there is no rehearsed and premeditated showboating or speeding.

If I was a cynic…a big conspiracy theorist…I would say that there is something fishy about this….who gains when all of this speeding, and performance driving is tolerated? Well, I think it is clear that the only entity that could benefit is Neptune’s Net itself….I have no substantiation…no evidence whatsoever…I am implying that there could be a deliberate effort to not patrol or ticket in this area…but, I would not make the claim that it has anything to do with Neptune’s Net….

Now, I do know that County Line is technically not in Los Angeles county…does this account for the circumstance? I don’t know why it should ..

It just seems so odd…I will continue to observe the “goings on” at County Line….
