
Loving husband, father, and brother, Richard Paul Ross passed away, surrounded by family, on January 22, 2015 after his heroic battle with cancer. Rick was born in Los Angeles, CA to Adelyne and Harry Ross on March 16, 1952; he was 62 years-old. He is survived by his wife, Robyn, daughter, Arielle, and sons, Dylan and Ryan; sister, Diane Ross-Glazer (Michael Glazer) and brother, Robert Ross (Cathie).
He received his BA from UC Berkeley. Upon completion of a law degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, he began practicing law with the firm Staenberg & Ross before becoming managing partner of Harry Ross Industries, a small family-run business that he developed into a large real estate investment company. Rick believed in collective responsibility to make society better. He balanced his business endeavors with his involvement in several charitable organizations.
Rick loved travel, books, and the beauty of discovery. His insatiable curiosity guided him through life and included a passion for the miracles of science. He harbored a lifelong ambition to be a cast member in “Old Jews Telling Jokes” which he realized on a small scale whether he had an audience of one or one hundred. Children were mesmerized by him. Family and friends were drawn to his humility and passion.

Above all, Rick treasured his family. The values instilled by his parents became the foundation of how he lived his life. Family was Rick’s hallmark belief of what made life beautiful. He believed his masterwork with his wife, Robyn, was contributing three wondrous children to the next generation of the family that he loved.
A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, January 25, 2015 at 12pm at Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary, 6001 West Centinela Avenue, Los Angeles.
