Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks-Griffin Memorial Park Debuts New Mausoleum and Expanded Cremation Garden

Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks–Griffin Memorial Park announced the completion of Phase 2 of the Oak Knoll Mausoleum and the approximately 360 square foot expansion of the existing cremation garden. The two areas combined provide nearly 600 new interment spaces, which are available immediately. In addition, a new cascading 65-foot long fountain surrounded by flowers adds a unique and calming feature to the Tranquility Garden.

The 3,868 square foot Oak Knoll Mausoleum, located in a serene park-like setting just inside the gates near Russell Ranch Road, includes 432 spaces that can accommodate individuals or family groups as well as 288 cremation niches. The stunning building is constructed from red-brown marble, black granite and stone and is designed to accentuate and blend in with the natural surroundings of Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks and the nearby Santa Monica Mountains.
The cremation garden expansion adds nearly 200 options for remembering loved ones who choose cremation. Visitors can meditate and reflect on the life of their loved ones as calming waters trickle in the background and the flowering plants and shrubs add subtle beauty to the grounds. The expansion includes natural-looking boulders, which serve as estates for families, as well as bench estates, niches, post markers and private cremation estates.

“While cremation continues to increasingly be the disposition of choice, we have seen tremendous interest in our cremation garden,” added Eacker. “Family members quickly realize that having a peaceful place to visit, reflect and remember as an important part of healing and moving on.
