MALIBU, CA — A multi-vehicle pileup has closed a section of Malibu Canyon Road in the Malibu area Thursday morning. The crash happened about two miles north of Pacific Coast Highway, according to the city of Malibu. Officials are warning drivers to avoid the area. It was reported shortly before 8 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.Paramedics took a person to a hospital for treatment in unknown condition, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.The roadway was closed between Civic Center Way and Piuma Road, the city of Malibu reported.
