THIS POPE IS REDEFINING EVERYTHING....
Finally....a spiritual leader who lives at shoe level.....this guy has no pretense, he refuses to be hoisted over anything...he lives (it).
I’m not a Catholic...but who cares? From where I sit, this Pope has a greater ability to change the world for the good than any other person alive today....
Pope Francis is a great metaphor for so many things.....
He is using his vast influence to inspire all people to have a more Christ-like consciousness....he is trying to inspire everyone, Christians and non Christians, theists and atheists, to show more compassion for our fellow man...to live outside ourselves a little more often.

it makes me wonder what the heck the other Popes before him were doing with their lost opportunities....they were more like glorified CEO’s. They missed incredible opportunities to change the world....instead, they wore big hats and walked around with golden scepters. I’m not saying that they didn‘t do any good...but I don‘t think they were transcendent in any real way...none of them. The Pope before Pope Francis was kind of a dud (my opinion).
This is so true for all of us....all of us are living under-maximized lives...we are all missing out on grand opportunities every single day to uplift others and to show compassion for others.....we are all living (down) to very low standards...just the way previous Pope’s were living to low standards....

This Pope has invented a new standard for a Pope...he washes the feet of strangers in the street...he lives humbly...shuns privilege and opulence...carries his own luggage, feeds the homeless instead of having lunch with a bunch of self serving and greedy politicians.....every Pope after him will look silly if he goes back to the old standard...of limousines and pomp and circumstance, etc...
This Pope is changing the standard...now it is up to us to do the same.....to wake up.....and make the world a better place for all...self indulgence should be checked at the door.... and greed and selfishness and living to excesses....that is the message...few will heed it..
