Possible Kidnapping Reported In Malibu: Police

A person reported seeing multiple males put a female in the trunk of a vehicle before driving off, according to police.

MALIBU, CA — Police were investigating a possible kidnapping Wednesday in Malibu.

Authorities received a call shortly before 10:30 a.m. from a person who reported seeing multiple males put a female in the trunk of a white Ford SUV at the intersection of Hume Road and Rambla Pacifico Street before driving off, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Law enforcement was investigating whether the incident was a kidnapping, a case of domestic violence, or something else. As of 4 p.m., the investigation was ongoing, police said.

Anyone who saw the SUV in the area at the time of the incident is asked to call the Malibu/Lost Hills sheriff's station at 818-878-1808.
