Power Outages Planned This Week In Malibu

Southern California Edison will be performing maintenance on the electrical system in several areas of the city.

MALIBU, CA – Malibu residents can expect power outages throughout this week while Southern California Edison (SCE) performs maintenance on the electrical system in several areas of the city. In order to perform this work safely, SCE must temporarily interrupt electric service and turn off power, according to the City of Malibu. These outages will allow SCE crews to upgrade aging infrastructure, make needed improvements, and complete other repairs to increase system reliability in the future.

This planned outage may not begin exactly at the stated start time, and some conditions may cause this planned outage to be postponed, the City of Malibu said. The times noted are SCE's best estimate and circumstances may affect both the start time and the completion time indicated above.
