Proposed Malibu cemetery

cemetery pollution

Conventional or Traditional cemeteries are a pollution nightmare. Yearly, they consume 30 million board feet of precious hardwoods for caskets, bury more than 64,000 tons of steel, copper and brass, bury more than 1.6 million tons of concrete and put more than 800,000 gallons of polluting embalming fluid into the earth (enough to fill over 1 million Olympic-size swimming pools).

Is this what Malibu wants? City Council, please reconsider this use of the land.
