Puerco Fire: Forward Progress Stopped
Los Angeles County firefighters stopped forward progress on a brush fire burning near Puerco Canyon Road and Pacific Coast Highway.

MALIBU, CA — Firefighters have stopped forward progress of the Puerco Fire, a half-acre brush fire burning near Pacific Coast Highway and Puerco Canyon Road in Malibu Monday morning.
Los Angeles County Fire Department reported at 8:30 a.m. that units were responding to a fire on the 3900 block of Puerco Canyon Road, near Corral Canyon Park, that had spread to brush and was consuming approximately half an acre.
By 8:42 a.m., LA County Fire had reported a knockdown on the structure and the brush.
