I'm not going to cite any study..I haven't looked for one…but it seems clear by observation alone….that racism is more palpable now…it is more of a social issue in this country than it has been for decades….and the remarkable irony is that we have had a black President during this period…Racism has increased during Obama's Presidency……or maybe we are just hearing about incidents more..but I think it is the former….And, this President (black) has amazing temperament…he is very dignified in my opinion and he seems like he has a very even hand on racial issues….I could understand if we had Jesse Jackson as our first President…or Cornel West…or Spike Lee,….but Barack Obama doesn't even come off as black to me…and yet racism is on the rise…I can't really explain it…perhaps others have a better understanding than I do ….food for thought...
