MALIBU, CA — Kanan Road is closed in both directions between Malibu View Court and Troutdale Drive due to downed power lines, according to the City of Agoura Hills. The City of Malibu reported a transformer explosion in the same area at 8:30 a.m. There is no estimate on when the area will reopen. California Highway Patrol reported an unrelated traffic collision at Kanan Road and Troutdale Drive around 8:15 a.m. Monday. Closer to Pacific Coast Highway, a boulder is blocking the northbound lane of Kanan Dume Road. All these incidents are related to the rain, CHP said. This is a developing story.
