Risky Fire Conditions In Malibu Throughout The Weekend

Low humidity and gusty winds will put Malibu at a higher fire risk this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

MALIBU, CA — Low humidity and gusty winds will but Malibu a at a higher fire risk from 9 a.m. Sunday to 3 p.m. Monday, according to the National Weather Service for Oxnard and Los Angeles.

Winds could reach between 20 to 30 miles per hour with gusts up to 50 miles per hour. Humidity could get to as low as 8 percent Sunday and Monday, NWS said.

These conditions will make it easier for a fire to spread quickly. NWS advises residents to use caution around any fire ignition source.
