Road Work In Malibu May Affect Your Commute

The contractor will provide traffic control in the affected areas and will maintain at least one travel lane.

MALIBU, CA – City contractors will resurface trenches on Malibu Road, Malibu Canyon Road, Winter Mesa (entrance to Bluffs Park), and Webb Way on May 3 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. The contractor will provide traffic control and will maintain at least one travel lane, according to the City of Malibu.

Resurfacing will involve filling and paving over the trenches dug for installation of pipes for the Civic Center Wastewater Treatment Facility (CCWTF) project. The paving is not the entire street width and only the trench areas, according to the city. On Malibu Canyon Road, the trench is close to the shoulder area, so traffic impacts will be minimal.

Remaining paving work on Civic Center Way, Cross Creek Road, and Stuart Ranch Road will be scheduled later in the month and will be conducted at night between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. to reduce any traffic issues, according to the City of Malibu.
