The Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District is looking for a qualified Malibu resident to fill a vacancy on the Financial Oversight Committee. The FOC reviews the SMMUSD's business and financial information, and makes recommendations to the Board of Education.  The committee meets about once a month at 7 p.m. in Santa Monica. The upcoming meetings will take place March 15, April 5, May 17, May 31 and June 2. There is no Malibu resident on the Board of Education, so having a resident on the FOC and other district advisory committees is important. Application forms can be found <a href="http://www.smmusd.org/fiscal/financialDAC.html" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">here</a>. The deadline to submit an application is April 29.
