Seawall Work in Malibu May Cause Temporary Closures of PCH

Crews are expected be at work weekdays through late October, Caltrans said.

MALIBU, CA — Erosion prevention work is due to begin Wednesday on a slope along a stretch of Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu.

Crews will be spraying concrete to an oceanside slope near Big Rock Road, according to Patrick Chandler of Caltrans.

"The work will require a shoulder closure on southbound SR-1" and temporary southbound lane closures may also result, Chandler said.
