Sharks Baseball Remains Undefeated

Junior ace Noah Simon moves to 4-0 on the year and senior Riley Mcmillin pitches a flawless 7th to earn his second save of 2013.

The Malibu Sharks baseball team is now 4-0 in conference play and remains undefeated on the year with 9-0 overall record.

Noah Simon pitched 6 strong innings after a allowing a couple of cheap runs in the 6th. A run was charged to him the 7th and then McMillin shut the door on villanova prep recording the final three outs and ending the game with a strikeout with the tying run on second base.

Junior Nick Anthony had two hits including a double and a big RBI single to help secure the 4-3 victory. After ending a Villanova rally by picking their guy off of second base, Malibu catcher Chris Falk then squeezed home Malibu's third run and also ran a perfect fake steal to help the Sharks score their fourth run which turned out to be the game winner!

The 4-3 victory keeps the Sharks undefeated for 2013 but more importantly keeps the Sharks all alone in first place in the all important conference season.
The Sharks next game is a big league game at Carpinteria on Friday and then they take a break from league action and will play next week in the San Diego Lions Spring Break Tournament Classic.

The Sharks will then host Division one power Santa Monica High in a double header on 4/5 before returning to the final 10 conference games and a CIF playoff run.
