Sharks Baseball Wins Conference Title

Malibu High School Sharks baseball team completed a sweep over Villanova Prep, securing a Frontier League championship.

The Malibu Sharks baseball team scored two runs in the top of the third inning to take a 2-1 lead over Villanova Prep (Ojai), which would be the final score in an odd forfeit Friday.

Chase Lambert stole two bases, scoring on a passed ball, and Bronson Bard's sacrifice fly scored Dylan Ross to give Malibu the 2-1 lead.

Then as Villanova Prep was ready to hit in the bottom of the third inning, a fight broke out in the dugout between a Villanova player and another Villanova student. The Wildcats forfeited the game, ending in a 2-1 Sharks victory.
