She Wasn't Listening....
it won't be Hillary this time, either. It turns out that people desperate for change wanted to be listened to.

Hillary came out yesterday and said to her "donors" that FBI director Comey's letter 10 days before the election was "too much to overcome". (Smokescreen)
Others in the Dem party are crying sexism...really? Sexism exists and I write about it's insidious toxicity but sexism didn't cost Hillary the election. Not even close! Heck, we elected a black President for 8 years in spite of our racist elements. Does anyone think that Sarah Palin being a woman would have kept her from being the Republican nominee had she run? No way...the Republicans loved her, especially because she was a woman. (Smokescreen)
The Dem elites are also blaming the media for Hillary's loss.....Really? Time Warner (CNN's parent company) was a huge contributor to Hillary and a recent study reported by U.S. News said that 96% of campaign money that came from media sources went to Hillary. (Smokescreen).

When Hillary lost to the first black President ever in 2008 what was her excuse then? The country was less progressive then and if we could nominate a black man with the middle name Hussein then surely it wasn't race that was the determinant. Barack Obama appealed directly to those who demanded change. He listened, and he won (twice). Now, she loses to a crude bully who inspires racism, among other things. But, in both cases her opponents were responding to the unequivocal call for change....both Obama and Trump convinced the electorate that they were listening. Everyone heard the bell ringing....everyone but Hillary, Huma, and the HRC Star Chamber. Hillary was stuck in her Hillary tower, surrounded by all of her Hillary elite, never inspiring any change or hope. It always seemed to me like she just wanted the "Belt".

Hillary never takes responsibility...it took her many years before she could admit that her Iraq vote was a mistake but even then she hedged....it took her many months and investigations to say that her handling of emails was wrong. The country is divided as to whether it was criminal but she was very resistant to even calling it wrong....actually, she never said it was "wrong". She said that she would "do it differently next time" and words like that. She blamed Colin Powell, even, saying that he said it was "o.k." to use a private server. She was never contrite. She said, "Well, if I had to do it over I would ....."
The Hillary Clinton campaign for President in 2016 was about as poorly run a campaign as humanly possible...it was incredibly arrogant, insular, elitist, smug, antiquated, overconfident, and closed minded.....they had blinders on....their campaign manager called Bernie Sanders "a dufus". They never listened to anything...THEY HAD NO MESSAGE WHATSOEVER. Instead of a message, they were constantly and relentlessly saying that Hillary is more experienced and that Trump and his supporters were "deplorable", "irredeemable". In the last few months of the campaign Hillary seemed to only talk about how bad Trump was. That was the only thing she ever said. It wasn't enough. The American people wanted and deserved more. Bernie Sanders, by stark contrast, ALWAYS talked about the issues and nothing but...income inequality, the rigged system, the need for a living wage, the need to reign in Wall Street, bad trade deals that are hurting the American worker, the need for free college tuition so that you don't have to be rich or willing to go deeply in debt just to go to college. Bernie reached out to the people....
Hillary called Bernie's ideas "pie in the sky".
Hillary sent Beyonce' and JayZ and Lady Gaga....as a substitute for ideas...she didn't think anyone would notice. Hillary said "everything is already great". Vote for me and let's celebrate how great we are by listening to these millionaire recording artists who support me...one who even uses misogynistic and sexist and disgusting lyrics in his music but that's not a big deal because he votes for Hillary. It was her pander to the black voters she desperately needed and didn't get enough of...
I won't give you anything to feel optimistic about in a Hillary Presidency but I would like you to just look at my rich friends up here playing great music.
"America is already Great", she said...oh yeah, tell that to the 23% of children under 18 who are living in poverty in this country, Hillary. It's the second worst among the 35 developed countries (not so great). Tell that to the 44% of children who are living in low income families. More children are living in poverty today than during the "Great Recession" according to a PBS report. Wall Street cheated and lied to middle America in 2008 and you are making millions on (closed door) speeches to Goldman Sachs? You hardly seem like a good custodian for the little guy when it comes to Wall Street excess. You are part of the problem. Yes, America is "already great" if you have over 100 million in net worth and you and your husband are charging hundreds of thousands of dollars, even millions, for speeches.
The typical American family is worth 1/3 less than it was in 2003. The rich have been increasingly richer under the Obama Administration and Hillary has no plan or answer for that. Jobs and Manufacturing are leaving our country and Hillary just smiles and says..."Stronger Together".
She didn't hear it...she doesn't get it....she's on Martha's Vineyard somewhere with her donors sipping Brandy. She's "far removed from the middle class because of the life I live and the economic fortunes my husband and I now enjoy" as she said in a wikileak release of one of her speeches to Goldman Sachs in February of 2014.
And I'm not even talking about all the lies and the coverups and email scandals and the money laundering through Clinton Inc. and her votes to go to war with Iraq and to support regime change in Libya and Syria. Her "judgement" on foreign policy matters has been horrible. Hillary Clinton and Dick Cheney have more in common than Hillary and Bernie. America doesn't want cronies who start wars and become multi multi millionaires while working in the government.
How could her campaign, with all those hundreds of millions of donors, corporate and otherwise, with all those George Clooney hosted dinners, how come no one was listening....? Yes, it must have been James Comey who cost her the election, and the media...sure it was!
The Democrat party is out of touch....they need a major colonic. They and their candidate Hillary Clinton offered NOTHING to the working class of America....they even made white males the enemy....they cynically thought that picking a VP who spoke Spanish would secure the hispanic vote...more hispanics voted for Trump than they voted for McCain or Romney. No, you need a message and ideas if you want anyone to show up at your rallies......go ask Bernie. Even as a 74 year old low energy bald Jew he was treated like Elvis all across the country.....not because he said, "We are already Great", but because he said that we have real big problems in this country that are getting worse and we need to fix them now.... and here is what I plan to do...." Bernie wasn't afraid to offend the Obama loyalists. He liked Obama but was willing to point to areas where he felt Obama had failed. That's leadership; anything less is cronyism.
Hillary tried to rig the primary by using the DNC as an ally against Bernie. It's in the leaked emails...it's horribly corrupt.
Well, you gave Trump supporters no choice...you gave many of those 29% of latinos who didn't really want to vote for Trump NO choice...You offered them nothing...you just implied that you weren't going to call them "rapists" and "criminals". 53% of White women voted for Trump and NOT Hillary. Are they all racists or sexists?
You called TPP the "gold standard of trade deals". Then when Bernie and Elizabeth opposed TPP you decided to do a 180 turn. We didn't trust you....
I'm just as upset as anyone that Trump is our new President...but not because Hillary didn't get into the White House...I'm still upset that Bernie was steamrolled....the Dems HAD the real change agent...the one who had a heart and who was not a fraud or a con man...We had him...but the Dem elites drove a stake through his heart and pushed his corpse into the river.
Well, if we had voted for the man with real ideas (who is trusted) who has no scandals and emails and who voted the right way on Iraq ..... we would not have a Trump Presidency....but, the corporate and SuperPac money and the Clinton machine thought it was their turn....
and here is a tip...just my opinion:
Don't continue to treat people who voted for Trump as the enemy. Yes, some are racists and sexists, but I'll wager most are not...they were merely looking for someone who offered Change, someone who spoke to them and took their problems seriously....70% of the electorate said they wanted "Change". Hillary offered them status quo....and you want to blame the Trump voters?
I say we should all get a mirror. I blame the Dem party for this election...stubborn, blind, old school, deaf, and status quo.
Food for Thought (my opinions....)
