Solstice Bridge Replacement Construction To Start In October: Report

MALIBU, CA — Construction work for the Caltrans Solstice Bridge Replacement project is expected to begin in October, according to a report from the Malibu Times.

The project is part of an investment to repair and improve transportation infrastructure throughout the state, according to Caltrans. The construction of the bridge at Solstice Creek aims to ease the passage of Southern California steelhead trout, an endangered species.

According to the Malibu Times, the project is expected to last a duration of 430 working days with traffic controls in place. City officials said details about the work schedule and any lane closures will be posted at a later date.

In addition to the construction of the bridge, Caltrans presented the Clean California PCH Solstice Canyon Creek Public Art and Community Engagement proposal to beautify the area. The proposed art would sit below the Solstice Creek pathway of PCH.
