Super-Rare ‘Living Fossil’ Shark Caught Off Australian Coast: Fishermen in Australia were stunned last month to find a dead, extremely rare “frilled shark” in their catch, whose frightening, primitive features are believed to have hardly changed over the past 80 million years. Which isn’t all that strange when you consider we could probably say the same thing about Cher. Australian officials say that because the creature lives at a depth of nearly a mile below the surface, no attempt will be made to contact next of kin.

In his defense, a lot of that may be all the additional airline seats he needs to purchase to fly on an airplane.
Sen. Joni Ernst Used Bread Bags to Keep Feet Dry: Iowa Sen. Joni Ernst touched on a variety of topics in her Republican rebuttal to President Obama’s State of the Union address, but perhaps most memorable was her claim that as a poor child, she had to put bread bags over her shoes to keep them dry on her way to school on rainy days. I assume she used “bread bags” to fit over her “loafers.” On a positive note, I guess its better someone wanted to put a bag on her feet and not over her head.
