Accident Closes Kanan Road In Both Directions In Malibu

MALIBU, CA – A big rig crashed Wednesday morning on Kunan Dume Road in Malibu, blocking the roadway, knocking down power lines, and injuring the driver.

The crash occurred a mile north of Pacific Coast Highway about 9:30 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. The trucker was taken to a hospital with injuries of unknown severity.

The truck knocked down some power lines, and Southern California Edison crews were sent to handle the problem. Los Angeles County Fire and Sheriff's Deputies were also on scene.

Officials said to expect delays.
