Dume Daisies

The daisies have returned for the spring to Malibu's Point Dume Natural Preserve. I wrote this poem last year, just before they went into their hibernation.

Dear Dume Daisy,

For many years, I've been there for you and you have been there for me.

You have accompanied me on many spring runs and walks.

My family has been in awe of you.

As you go into your recluse, I look forward to seeing you next spring!

Oh dear Dume Daisy, have a nice rest, come back soon.
