Water Use Restricted In Malibu Tonight For Pipe Repairs

The restrictions apply to all all Los Angeles County Waterworks District 29 customers.

MALIBU, CA — Residents and businesses in the city must restrict their water use beginning at 5 p.m. Tuesday until 9 a.m. Wednesday as crews work to repair water mains.

The restrictions apply to all all Los Angeles County Waterworks District 29 customers, which includes the entire city of Malibu and Topanga Canyon, according to the city. (You can view a map of the district here.)

Water service will not be interrupted, but the supply will be extremely limited. Customers are asked to turn off sprinklers and avoid filling swimming pools.

Crews are working to connect a new section of pipe to the existing transmission main along Pacific Coast Highway from east of Temescal Canyon Road to just west of Entrada Drive. No lane closures are expected.
