Weekend of Malibu Fundraisers

You can support the local schools this weekend at various fundraising events.

Support for schools is the theme this weekend in Malibu. and elementary schools will host their annual fundraisers and the football players will hold a carwash and bake sale to raise money to purchase new uniforms.

The will take place at the Saturday from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. It will feature food from and drinks from Malibu Family Wines and Karma Tequila. Also included are a casino, auction with more than 75 items and dancing.

The will take place at the Sunday at 11:30 a.m. It will feature a four-person best ball golf tournament, a chance to win a 2011 BMW 328i Sedan with a hole in one and lunch. The children can be entertained by Kamp Indy from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Then you can bring them to the karaoke dinner at 5 p.m. The dinner will feature food from Christina Ficeto and Ceci Loftus of Malibu Party Services, local wines as well as silent and live auctions.

The carwash will take place at the Arete Estates lot on the intersection of Heathercliff Road and Pacific Coast Highway Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost is $10 per wash, and the money will go toward paying for new football uniforms. Read the Malibu Patch article about the event .
