MALIBU, CA — Malibu and much of the Los Angeles and Ventura County mountain area have been placed under a Wind Advisory until Saturday at 3 pm. Santa Ana winds are expected to reach up to 30 miles an hour Friday afternoon in Malibu, according to the National Weather Service.
On Saturday, wind gusts could reach up to 50 miles an hour Saturday in the Santa Monica Mountains. According to City News Service, canyon roads like Kanan Road, Malibu Canyon Road, Topanga Canyon Boulevard, and Decker Canyon Road, will be caught in gusty crosswinds, and driving may become difficult.
The 23, 101, 118, 170, 210, and 405 freeways, and Interstate 5, are likely to also be affected. Drivers are advised to go slowly and use extra caution. Homeowners are advised to secure all outdoor objects.

Gusts of up to 30 miles an hour throughout Saturday in Malibu. Gust will slow to about 15 miles an hour with possible showers Saturday night, according to the National Weather Service. Winds will slow to about 10 miles an hour Sunday. No Red Flag Warnings or Public Safety Power Shutoffs are anticipated.
