World's Tallest and Longest Glass-Bottom Bridge Closes

A satirical look at current events!

World's Tallest and Longest Glass-Bottom Bridge Closes: Considered a feat of structural engineering, the world's highest and longest glass-bottom bridge in China has closed without explanation, less than two weeks after opening with much global fanfare.

Closed without explanation? When you close down a “glass" bridge, wouldn’t you expect the reason for the closing would be completely “transparent?” Wonder if it was structural or if they just ran out of Windex? Or perhaps the bridge only came with a one week warranty? If you ask me, this is entire project that was doomed from the git-go. Anyone with half a brain could see right through it.

Experts say something like this has the potential to completely “shatter” the tourist industry in China. On the other hand, they could just rent all the tourists parachutes and tell them to just “have a ball.” This kind of reminds me of that age-old old proverb, “People who walk across glass bridges - shouldn't wear short skirts.”
