2 Arrested For Illegal Gun Possession In Manhattan Beach
Manhattan Beach police made two separate arrests on Labor Day for illegal possession of firearms.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Manhattan Beach police made two separate arrests on Labor Day for illegal possession of firearms, department officials said.
According to authorities, police spotted two unrelated vehicles with fake temporary license plates and conducted traffic stops.
MBPD said the suspect in the first stop had a prior felony conviction. During the traffic stop, police said they found a loaded and concealed handgun under the driver's seat. California law prohibits convicted felons from owning or having control over a gun.

In the second stop, officers said the vehicle was a Jeep TrackHaw that was allegedly reported stolen and had a swapped Vehicle Identification number. During the search, police said they found a bag of weed, a stack of cash and a full-auto Glock handgun.
Both suspects were arrested on suspicion of illegal possession of firearms, according to MBPD.
