2 In Critical Condition After Plane Crashes Onto Hawthorne Street
The pilot and the passenger were rushed to the hospital in critical condition, officials said.

HAWTHORNE, CA — Two people are critically injured after a small plane crashed onto Hawthorne Boulevard early Friday morning, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The plane, a single-engine Piper PA-24, crashed and then caught fire at 12:35 a.m. near El Segundo Boulevard, the Federal Aviation Administration told Patch.
The pilot and the passenger were rushed to the hospital in critical condition but no one on the ground was injured, fire officials said. Their injuries include severe burns, according to KTLA.
