Wilson Elser Promotes David Eisen to Regional Managing Partner of the Los Angeles Office

National law firm Wilson Elser is pleased to announce the promotion of Manhattan Beach resident David S. Eisen to regional managing partner of the firm’s Los Angeles office. Mr. Eisen joined Wilson Elser in 2010 after spending 15 years as a partner at Arnold & Porter.

On January 1, 2013, Mr. Eisen assumed the helm from Patrick Kelly, who will remain managing partner of the firm’s Western region.

“I am pleased to pass the ‘Los Angeles’ baton to David,” shared Mr. Kelly, who is also the president of the California State Bar Association. “Since joining the firm in 2010, he has played an important role in the direction of the firm’s Los Angeles operations. He is a consummate professional who is respected by his clients and colleagues within and outside of the firm.”

Mr. Eisen is now chair of the Los Angeles Operations Group, which includes partners James Stankowski, Steven Joffe and Paul Dougherty.  He also serves as one of the firm’s three deputy general counsel.

With more than 30 years of experience litigating complex matters, Mr. Eisen’s practice focuses on professional liability matters, including representing law and accounting firms and individual lawyers in malpractice and dissolution actions. He also represents corporate clients in employment disputes and complex commercial matters, including consumer class actions.

Mr. Eisen is a state and federal court mediator, frequently serves as a judge pro tem in California state court, and is a special trial counsel for the California State Bar.

He has earned an AV® Preeminent™ rating by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest peer review rating, and has been selected for inclusion in Southern California Super Lawyers.  He was also chair of the Hale Moot Court Honors Program at USC Gould School of Law, which provides students with an opportunity to develop their written and oral advocacy skills.

Mr. Eisen earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, San Diego (1978) and his J.D. from University of Southern California Gould School of Law (1981).
