'Annoying' Man Fights Cops, Gets Arrested In Manhattan Beach
A man suspected of annoying people at the Strand fought with officers who were attempting to subdue him, police said.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA – A man suspected of annoying people Monday near the Strand in Manhattan Beach was arrested after repeatedly being stopped by police, and then arming himself with a knife and fighting with officers who were attempting to subdue him, police said.
The incident took place over several hours in the north end of the city near the Strand, according to police. Officers responded twice to the location and calmed the man down, police said, but the third time officers arrived the man fled the scene. Officers chased him and finally caught up to him. But the man allegedly armed himself with a knife and charged at the officers, police said.
Officers then used a Taser to try to subdue him but it failed to do so, police said.

Finally, the suspect was taken into custody after being subdued by several officers. The suspect was treated for injuries by paramedics and lifeguards who were at the scene. He was then taken to a hospital for treatment before being arrested, police said.
